What's new.

Houscade is young and moving fast. Here's what we've shipped lately — we update it as we go, and your feedback shapes what comes next.

  1. New24 August 2026

Cost and margin on every line

Put what a line costs you next to what you charge for it, on the BOQ and on the quotation, and see the margin per line and for the whole document. A line you haven't costed is never counted as free — the total says how much of the job you've actually costed. Your client never sees any of it.

  2. New24 August 2026

What you planned to spend, against what you have

The Expenses tab now shows site spend against the cost on your BOQ. If half the lines aren't costed it says so instead of inventing an overspend.

  3. Improved24 August 2026

The quote opens with the total and Approve

Your client used to scroll three and a half screens on a phone before they could see the price or act on it. The total and an Approve button now ride the bottom of the screen from the first line, and hand over to the full decision panel when they reach it.

  4. New24 August 2026

A WhatsApp from someone new becomes a lead

A message from a number you don't recognise now opens a lead on its own, keeping their name and the first thing they wrote. It's how most interior enquiries actually start, and it used to land nowhere.

  5. New24 August 2026

Follow-up dates that come back to you

Set a follow-up on a lead and it now reaches you on the day, in one morning digest. Alongside it: how long each enquiry waited before a person — not an autoreply — answered it.

  6. Fixed24 August 2026

    Money figures now count part-payments

Total revenue only counted invoices settled in full, so a ₹5,00,000 invoice with ₹4,50,000 received showed as ₹0. Project margins ignored site expenses entirely, which made cash-run jobs look like pure profit. Both corrected, along with the vendor balances that ignored payments made outside a purchase order.

  7. Fixed24 August 2026

Dates are India's, not the server's

Anything recorded between midnight and 5:30am — an invoice, a payment, a site expense — was dated to the day before, because the server runs on UTC. On the first of a month that put it in the wrong month. Every date in the product is now the Indian calendar date.

  8. New24 August 2026

    A free wardrobe cost calculator

Alongside the kitchen one: what a built-in wardrobe costs to build, itemised — and the thing no other calculator shows you, the area on the wall against the area actually built. Free, no signup, and homeowners can ask studios in their city to quote it.

  9. New23 August 2026

    Your portfolio collects enquiries

The public portfolio page is now a lead source: a visitor can ask you about a project and it lands in your pipeline, tagged with the project they were looking at.

  10. New19 August 2026

Guides worth sending to a client

A blog with the arguments you have every week — GST on interior work, what a false ceiling costs per sqft, why variations should be charged, what a BOQ should contain. Written to be sent to a client mid-argument.

  11. New18 August 2026

    Solo, at ₹499 a month

A tier for a studio of one, and per-studio pricing that is actually per studio — the Studio plan covers your whole team, so hiring somebody does not raise your bill.

  12. New18 August 2026

Clients can question a single line

Instead of a voice note about “the wardrobe thing”, a client can query the exact line they mean. The question stays attached to that row.

  13. New17 August 2026

Draft a quotation from a brief

Describe the job and get a first draft to review and edit before anything is inserted — plus formula-based quick drafts for the packages you build most often.

  14. New8 August 2026

Timeline, site expenses, and who can see money

A drag-free project timeline you can show the client phase by phase; petty-cash and site expenses logged from a phone with a photo of the receipt; and per-member control over who in the studio sees financial figures at all.

  15. New8 August 2026

    Product photos on quotation lines

Lines picked from your catalogue carry their photo into the quotation and the PDF, so a client sees the tile and the laminate next to the price instead of a spreadsheet.

  16. New20 July 2026

    Light & dark themes

Switch the whole workspace between a calm light view and a focused dark command deck from the toggle at the top-right. Your choice is remembered on every device.

  17. New20 July 2026

    Company & security pages

Public About, Contact, Security, and Refund pages — so studios (and their clients) can see exactly who they're trusting with their work.

  18. New19 July 2026

    A redesigned home dashboard

Your studio at a glance: outstanding and overdue money, cash received over the last six months, quotations awaiting approval, and leads to follow up — all on one screen.

  19. New19 July 2026

    360° virtual tours

Turn a room's panorama photos into a walkable 360° tour and share it with your client as a single link — no app for them to install.

  20. New19 July 2026

    Import from Excel & CSV

Moving from spreadsheets? Bring your existing leads, vendors, and projects into Houscade in seconds by dropping in a CSV — the columns map themselves.

  21. ImprovedJuly 2026

GST invoices & Razorpay payment links

Turn a quotation into a branded, GST-ready invoice in a few clicks, and attach a Razorpay payment link your client can pay in one tap.
